Renown developed our own ERP Implementation Framework over ten years ago. RIF has been refined and improved based on experience and the development of improved models or working files. RIF was based on the PMI's Project Management Body of Knoweldge PMBOK, but tailored to the unique requirements of an ERP Implementation.
Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step was also based on PMI's PMBOK. When Sure Step was launched, Renown migrated to the new Microsoft standard. We merged many of our existing RIF working files into the Sure Step templates, enhancing the overall solution.
The core component to the Renown Implementation Framework is the overview providing a summary of the workflow process and document outcomes, for both project management and ERP implementation.

The RIF Implementation Planning Study works through the core project management elements to build a formal Project Charter and Project Plan. This includes Scope, Resourcing, Schedule and all the subsidiary management plans to control change.

Once a Project Plan is developed, work begins on the ERP configuration. RIF defines the implementation steps and the documents required to define all aspects of the ERP configuration and operation.
