Based on experience, we're not aware of any industry accepted definition for Project Accounting versus Job Costing other than Project Accounting is typically project costing normally associated with the Professional Services Industry with projects typically associated with client engagements.

While Job cost is also a cost accounting method but is more commonly associated with inventory-based companies and job cost manufacturing processes.
